1930s modernist plywood chair

£0.00
sold out

Modernist plywood chair, English, circa 1930s/40s. A really unusual piece, combining constructivist form with areas of decoration. Quite a small chair for an adult, probably more suited to a child.

Plywood seat, back and side panels. At the end of the arms and partly on the front edge there are applied carved decorative sections. It has a mostly gold finish which has worn away to show areas of green and the wood underneath.

All structurally sound.

61cm wide x 51cm high x 68.25cm deep x 21.75cm seat height.
