George Muller 1960s glass and resin sculpture

£0.00
sold out

Wonderful ‘dalles de verre’ and resin sculpture by George Muller, circa 1960s. Irregular slabs of orange, yellow and purple glass set in resin on a slate base. Signed ‘G Muller’ to the side of the base.

Muller was born in Zurich in 1940 and studied stained glass in Germany under Adolf Valentin Saile. As well as sculpture he also worked on an architectural scale - producing glass for the ‘Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King’ in Liverpool and making large window panels for late 60s ‘Picker House’ in Kingston upon Thames.

This piece looks particularly great in front of a window where the glass comes alive in the sun. There are a couple of places where the resin looks like it might be missing.

Approx 24cm tall x 25cm wide.
