A child’s chair and table designed by Kristian Vedel in 1957 for Torben Örskov & Co, Denmark. A versatile design that was awarded the silver medal at the 1957 Milan Triennale and is in the MOMA permanent collection.

Two beech laminated plywood frames with a painted slot-in blue seat, one blue shelf/restraint and a red table top. It can be configured into a variety of forms, such as a high chair, desk, or play station. Equally nice used as an ‘adult’ side table.

In overall good condition with some chips to the painted parts and some marks to the ply finish.

1960s coffee table, believed to be of Swiss origin. Geometric cradle base made of black metal rod supporting a round glass top. Was £395, now £320 in the sale.
Love looking at kid’s furniture design from the 50s-70s. All of these feature in the aforementioned ‘New  Furniture’ volumes (Gerd Hatje and Elke Kaspar).
66 piece set of ‘model 601’ cutlery designed in 1957 by Arne Jacobsen. This is an early set made by Anton Michelsen, Denmark.

Originally designed for the Royal Copenhagen Hotel, it was also selected by Stanley Kubrick for use in the film
