Oval coffee table designed by Robin Day in 1954 for Hille, UK. This design was exhibited at the Milan Triennale in 1954.

A very rarely seen table by Day. The simple design is lifted by the use of rich rosewood on the top surface, with simple stove enamelled legs and black trim around the rim.

In very good restored condition with some minor wear.

152cm long x 51cm wide 36.5cm high.

Love looking at kid’s furniture design from the 50s-70s. All of these feature in the aforementioned ‘New  Furniture’ volumes (Gerd Hatje and Elke Kaspar).
