Troughton and Young Versalite light

£0.00
sold out

An elegant ceiling light from the Versalite range designed by A.B. Read in 1948 for Troughton and Young, UK. The Versalite range was first shown at the 'Design at Work' exhibition in 1948 and then used in the 1951 Festival of Britain exhibition.

Cream metal shades with small circular cutouts on the rim and a decorative cutout at the end. The shades are fully adjustable so they can be pointed towards to the floor or ceiling. The shades fit onto the upright via a brass dome.

In very good condition with some minor scuffs and marks to the shades. The light is in working order but we recommend it is rewired and fitted by an electrician.
